I mentioned on my Instagram the other day that I was working on a holiday edition of my favorite M&M Chocolate Candy Cookies. I’ve been perfecting the recipe for a while now but today is the day. This recipe has found a permanent home in my kitchen because of the versatility of these cookies. I might even have to do a chocolate mint version of them ( with mint M&Ms!) I get a little too excited about new cookie ideas. As much as I love cupcakes I have to say that cookies have a special place in my heart. They are such a quick and easy handmade treat for after school, weekends, and every once in a while breakfasts. I love being able to have freshly made cookies waiting in the cookie jar to be eaten. With these cookies, just a simple change of the candy used can adapt them to any holiday or season. The M&M store offers color packs to match any event or even team colors for after practice cookies.
Double Chocolate Holiday Cookies
The chocolate pudding mix is definitely the star of these cookies. It both helps as a rising agent and gives the cookies a silky chocolate texture. It is absolutely delicious and the perfect chocolate match to the candy used.
Vanilla, strawberry, or even banana pudding mix can be used for this recipe to tailor the cookies to your recipe. I can think of about a million combinations I want to try.

Have you heard the news? All new recipes and a new cookbook are coming soon to Ghastly Girl! In 2015 I lost close to 90lbs following a simple diet and exercise regimen that I created. Due to medication, loss of a job, and a ton of other factors that caused me to be less active with a slower metabolism I have put a lot of weight back on.
In 2018, we will be doing it all over again. I know, not as many baked sweets! The good news is you can still have a ton of baked goods and other foods using my weight loss plan. It’s just a matter of a few simple modifications.
We’ll talk more about that soon, but I had to share because I am so excited to take this weight loss journey again and to share it with you guys.
