Is there anyone out there who doesn’t love sloths? They are just so cute and slow and loveable. I have been a sloth fanatic for a while now and love collecting slothophanalia. ( Yes, I also love making up my own words.)

Of course, they totally deserve their own holiday.

Luckily, a non-profit organization in Columbia by the name of the Aiunau Foundation is on top of it! They created International Sloth Day in 2010 as an unofficial holiday to help raise awareness to conservation and care of the country’s sloths.

To learn more about International Sloth Day you can visit the Aiunau Foundation’s website.
